Tribute to ''Theofrastos Sakellaridis''

Akis Kalmoukis appeared as tenor soloist in a Tribute to Theofrastos Sakellaridis at the Municipal Theatre of Corfu, in a concert dedicated to the golden era of Greek operetta. The event was organized by the Philharmonic Society Kapodistrias, bringing together distinguished artists and ensembles.

Sharing the stage with sopranos Elena Ristova, Aliki Pappa, Margarita Stadler, and baritone Sotiris Triantis, Akis stood out for his musicality, vocal brilliance, and stylistic command of the operetta repertoire. The chorus Camerata Vocalis enriched the soundscape, under the inspired direction of conductor Michael Michalopoulos.

The concert was warmly received by the audience, with critics and listeners highlighting Akis’ vocal abilities and musical sensitivity as a pinnacle of the evening. A celebration of Greek operetta filled with elegance, humor, and lyrical charm, this performance remains one of the concerts he holds closest to his heart.
